At Harmony Within, Rieko offers one-on-one Ayurvedic consultations, rejuvenation and purification therapies, personalized Ayurvedic informed yoga practice to help you to adjust your lifestyle and diet, and to re-establish balance among doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), dhatus (bodily tissues), malas (waste products of the body) and agni (digestive fire).

This is the place to start if you have never had a health consultation with Harmony Within before. You’ll receive an in-depth exploration of your health.
Initial consultation is:
To evaluate your current health concerns, health history, systemic examination, diet, lifestyle, current emotions and the mind, and discover your nature, Prakriti (unique natural constitution) and Vikriti (current state of health imbalance). Ayurvedic pulse reading and tongue diagnose are included.
To support your healing through some adjustments in lifestyle, diet, yoga and pranayama (breathing exercise), herbal intake and treatments. Personalized treatment recommendation plan will be provided through email. You will learn more about your nature, the right diet and lifestyle, suitable Ayurvedic medicine and herbal treatment.
Follow up consultation 30-45 minutes : $65
Follow up 30-45 minute consultation is for existing clients. We recommend 1 to 2 check-in consultations per year or as you need to address new issues or go deeper into healing longstanding health concerns. Follow up consultation is to ask follow up questions from a previous consultation, track progress, discuss additional recommendations and adjustments, get clarity or talk through ways to integrate previous changes you have made. It is a continuous learning for your self healing.
Rejuvenation and Purification Therapies
Shirodhara
Medicated liquid continuously steadily poured over the forehead
This treatment has calming, relaxing, cleansing effect on the mind and nerves, revitalizes all the sensory organs including the central nervous system, regulates hormonal balance, improves mental alertness, relieves stress, insomnia, anxiety and headache. It is rejuvenation and detoxification for the body, mind and spirit.

Abhyanga
Ayurvedic medicated oil massage

Pinda Sweda
A specialized sweat inducing treatment using herbal medications heated in herbal oil tied in boluses rubbing continuously over the affected area or all over the body, which help in relief from pain, stiffness, swelling and other conditions associated with sore joints and bones, musculoskeletal and neuromuscular pains. It is also rejuvenating, relaxing, strengthening the joints, muscles and soft tissues. Different types of medicines are filled in the boluses depending on current health imbalances (Vikriti), unique constitution (Prakriti) and different stages of diseases;

Nasya
Medicated nasal drops
Nostrils is the gateway to the brain/head. The therapy cleanses and opens the channels of the head increasing Prana and imroving the function of the brain. It keeps the eyes, nose and ears healthy, cleansing the sinuses, eliminating toxins from the head and neck, alleviates respiratory issues, nervous system ailments affecting the neck, shoulders and upper limbs, prevents early greying hair or loss of hair, enhances sense organs and protects us from diseases.

Karna Purana
Filling the ears with warm medicated oil
This treatment is used for ear diseases including tinnitus, hearing loss, Meniere’s disease etc., headache, neck pain, jaw pain, vertigo, TMJ disorders, neurological disorders. This therapy is for purifying the ear canal and ear structures.

Bolus Fomentation/Massage
Udwarthana, Udgarshana
Friction massage with medicated powder or paste
An invigorating, rejuvenating full body massage rubbing the body upwards with medicated powder or pastes specific to your unique constitution, health imbalance and the season. This treatment pacifies aggravated Kapha, reduces excess fat from the subcutaneous tissues, alleviates heaviness, lethargy, oedema, depression, poor circulation and improves skin tone and colour, benefits the lymph/plasma (Rasa) and the blood (Rakta) tissues, detoxifies, purifies, improves mobility of joints, strengthens the muscles, rejuvenates the body, opens up the body channels. Marma
Trigger points massage
Marma is trigger/vital points, or energy pathways, which are the seats of Prana. According to Ayurveda, there are 107 marma points in the body. Pressure is applied to these points of energy and are used to stimulate internal organs and systems of the body.

Ayurvedic Indian Head Massage/ Shiro'bhyanga
Ayurvedic head and face massage
Most of our sense organs are located in the head. The head massage provides vital nourishment to all of our senses, promoting their functioning, encourages the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, strengthening the nervous system, balances the pineal and pituitary glands. It prevents premature greying of hair, hair loss, headache.

Lepa
Application of medicated paste
Lepa is for localized action of the herbs. The thickness of various types of lepa enables to be absorbed into the skin when the lepa is wet before it dries to bring vitiated dosha back to normal condition.

Dhumapana
Herbal fume inhalation
The medicinal smoke is inhaled through nose. This therapy is very helpful with removing mucus in the body, and treat the ailments such as wet cough, bronchitis and asthma caused by mucus. Dhumapana is also recommended to be performed for promoting general health or preventing diseases.
It is beneficial for cough, dyspnoea, rhinitis, voice, disorders of nose etc. This treatment can be done after Nasya.
